Every
Sex and the City girl (or gay) remembers the shocking moment Carrie came face to face with a savvy purse snatcher that wasn't just looking for loot, he was looking for labels. "It's a
baguette," Carrie corrected the mugger before he went too far and demanded she hand over her Blahniks. WTF?!? You don't take a girls sample sale find!
And they certainly remember when Samantha thought she too was robbed of her Baquette. So what hers was a fake, who amongst us wouldn't have assumed that Playboy bunny was ALL fake?! Poor Sam, escorted out of the Playboy Mansion, sans her new gold [fake] Fendi, while that damn bunny took her real iconic arm candy, the baguette, and went back to being Hef's arm candy.
Last week, Fendi celebrated 15 years of its very famous bag, (sorry, Baguette,) at their 5th avenue store. The Fendi Baquette didn't just get to have a Quinceanera, it got a whole tell all written about it! That's right, Fendi has released a new book, Fendi Baguette, (clever name Fendi, just sayin'.)
The party was packed with haute Fendi lovers, and fashion's faithful. They clacked their way uptown, or rather rolled up in town cars, for a glass or three of champs and to view the special re-edition of six Vintage Baguettes. Fashion's new fave it-girl, Hannah Bronfman, worked the turn tables looking super haute, while host's Hillary Rhoda, Annabelle Dexter Jones and Byrdie Bell chatted it up and downed some drinks with guests from Harley Viera Newton, Derek Blasberg, Poppy Delevingne, and Genevieve Jones.
Happy Birthday, Baguette. Next year maybe you'll get a Range Rover and not just a book.
